Inspired by the physical and musical force of drone doom metal music, Križaj/Wehrli/Gisler go in search of light in the dark. With their usual unconventional style, they vibrate terms like gravity and doomerism and thus create a choreography somewhere between dance and music. The focus is on the crisis as a creative force. "Deep Purple" is a wasteland of ambition filled with the potential to experience beauty.
Jasmina Križaj, a choreographer and dancer, mainly working in Slovenia and Switzerland in the last years.
Simon Wehrli, a musician, dancer, and choreographer who works in Europe.
Daniel Gisler, a musician who currently plays in one of the most successful Swiss music groups HECHT.
Križaj/Wehrli/Gisler have been working together since 2013. They originally staged improvisation evenings together. In 2018, they created their first performance under the title Nature Poetry. Deep Purple is their second full-length piece.
